From the database: Zombie cyborg vs. cyborg zombie

I have seen that there is some amount of confusion on the interwebs about the matter of zombie cyborgs. Most of this comes from a lack of distinction between a zombie cyborg and cyborg zombies. Here is the facts:

A zombie cyborg is a cyborg that has become a zombie.

A cyborg zombie is a zombie that has become a cyborg.

The main difference between a zombie cyborg and a cyborg zombie is how it acts. A zombie cyborg will be more feral, as the zombie part is the most dominant. But a cyborg zombie will be more like a robot; calculative and calm. Both should have the same amount of strength, and life-support systems; this will vary with the cyborg implants.

From the database: Basics of a zombie cyborg

A zombie is by common knowledge a dead being that has risen from it's dead state. Zombies can come in several forms, which all is simulated well in the zombie-killing simulator Left 4 Dead. Zombies are physically extremely weak, but have no sense of pain, tiredness or hunger. This is why zombies are essentially immortal unless you remove the information centre that is the brain.

A zombie cyborg on the other hand, is a zombie fitted with electronics, motors, and other gadgets, that will make them stronger, faster and smarter. A zombified cyborg can either be a cyborg being that has died and risen like a normal zombie, or a zombie outfitted with cyborg implants after the turning. Because of the practical problems of the latter it is less common. A zombie cyborg can be significantly more dangerous than a normal zombie, so watch out. They usually boast a life-support system designed for a human, but once a cyborg has turned it essentially keep the zombie alive for ever. Some also have an artificial intelligence, which can either override, or be undermining the zombies mind. Therefore you might stumble into a friendly zombie one day.
